I am 16 years old and have been with my 28 year old boyfriend for 10 months. We are sexually active, and i was inquiring as to if there is a law against it. I have been 16 sense our relationship started, and it has always been consentual but my mother has recently been talkin about the ''law'' and how we are illeagle because there is an age difference of more than 3 years. What i am wondering is Is She Right?

If your mother finds out that he had sex with you before you turned sixteen and reports this to the authorities, he is looking at a prosecution for Criminal Sexual Conduct III, a 15 year felony. After you're sixteen, you can lawfully have relations.
