Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

my son is going to be charge as an adult for shop lifting and bitting security on the arm so the charge is unarmed robbery, however, not making excuses he is emotionnally imparied with problems with processing and retreving information. his age is 17 but he still thinks like a 12,13 year old please give me some advice. do you know any pro bono lawyer ot some one who will acept court appointed pay....I know my son was wrong but he don't deserve his life being thrown away thank you God Bless I live in wayne county michigan
