Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
My son had a minor position arrest when he was a minor. He did what was required and the judge said his record would be expunged. It showed up when he applied for a job for border patrol and again when he applied for a job at a local police dept. Why is it showing up? The police recuiter said the record that it was indeed expunged but it will remain on record. Why?

Because of the nature of the jobs he is applying for. His conviction is not gone, but a non-public record. There is not much they can do. www.kliszlaw.com. Tim Klisz
