Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
My son is on probation, he was caught by his probation officer on the computer which is a violation of his probation. The PO said that Clinton Co, (we live in Ingham Co, and have a PO in Ingham.) Clinton Co, is the court where the authority is, is issuing a show cause hearing. We have nothing official from Clinton Co, just the word of the Ing. Co. PO. What is a show cause hearing, does he need an attorney for this? If so he will need a Public Defender. How does he get one and shouldnt he get official paperwork for this "hearing"
