Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
in the state of michigan, if a sixteen year old who gets pregnant by a twenty year old male, can her parents press charges?

Her parents can report anything they want to the police, and the police can investigate whether there may be a crime. But the parents don't "press charges". Prosecutors "press charges". Using your limited facts, I don't see that a crime occurred. A 16-year old is old enough to consent to sexual activity in Michigan. So if she was 16 when they had sexual relations, and there were no other aggravating facts such as force/coercion with injury, or the girl being drugged or drunk to the point she was mentally incapacitated or physically helpless, etc. then it is very doubtful that a prosecutable crime occurred.
