Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
statue of limitations
i have warrants in michigan for failure to appear on misdemeanor charges, i now live in ohio will michigan EVER dissmiss the warrants? if so how long will they last?the charges are driving suspended, false information to law enforcement (gave different name) also failure to show for sentencing for drunk driving offense

Once warrants are issued there are no longer any statute of limitations issues. And since you are in another state, tha would allow Michigan to keep their warrants on the police computers for you indefinately. Many states have reciprocity with Michigan, including Ohio. I suspect that your failure to resolve these charges in Michigan will catch up with you in Ohio sooner or later. Often, suspended license and OUIL charges in one state have an adverse effect in another.
