Statutory Rape
I am 19 and i got my girlfriend who is 15, 16 in july pregnant. I am going to go to jail and miss out on my child's life?

It is possible that a prosecutor wil charge you with CSC 3rd degree (a 15-year felony with a 25-year sex offender registration) because, at the time you impregnated your girl friend, she was under 16 and legally incapable of consenting. The basic facts can be proven through DNA tests on all 3 of you to prove that you are the biological father, and using testimony about when the child was born, whether the child was born full-term, etc to back the conception date back to when the girl was under 16.
Some prosecutors will issue a charge like this regardless of the nature or duration of your relationship ... but others will factor this in and possibly not charge you.
So, there's no predicting what will happen. It's the risk you take when you (an adult) is having unprotected sex with a child.
