Re: statutory rape
"Statutory rape" is a colloquial term. Michigan calls such conduct "criminal sexual conduct".
There are four degrees of CSC that may or may not apply to your term (engaging in CSC with a person under the 16-year old age of consent). You can read up on them at www.eatoncounty.org/prosecutor/define.htm#csc
CSC 1st? No statute of limitations, per MCL 767.24(1).
CSC 2nd, 3rd or 4th? Generally it is 10 years after the crime date, or the victim's 21st birthday, whichever is later. But this can be extended if the perpetrator was identified by DNA (in which case the statute of limitations is 10 years after the identification, or the victim's 21st birthday, whichever is later).
