Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

stolen items

I have bipolar disorder and was experiencing a manic episode when i stole a piece of jewelry from a lady i was babysitting. The police want to question me asap. should i tell him about my condition and confess or just confess? I need some help asap.

Half of the inmates in jail are bipolar. It is NOT a defense or a mitigating factor in any charge that may be brought against you.

You are NOT under any legal obligation to talk to the police and, if you're asking for advice, I advise you not to speak with them. The police only want your confession. They are NOT there to help you.

If a decision is made to prosecute, you'll probably receive a notice in the mail.
