Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Stupid person in need of advice on recent drug charge against her.

I was arrested along with my roommate for possession of very poor quality marijuana.I was then let go, and money taken from me, as well as my vehicle given back to me.At the time I was living out of state pursuing my education in college.I had conditions on why I was let go and I can explain that further to someone who would help me.The detective in the case let me and my roommate go back out of state to finish up our semesters.I was stopped by the police one night for speeding and found out that there was a warrant for my arrest for narcotics and fleeing. They contacted the police and was told that they didnt want me, but to contact them.I am scared.I havent had a drug or violent crime before, but I have a U&P conviction, and a couple of other similar things in my past.I want to show the courts that even when this occured I was trying to better myself and am doing so now. What can I do?I am scared, and I don't want to go back to jail.I have some very questionable sentences on my record which I feel legally could have been misdeameanors(?),or possible given probation or dismissal.I have never been given in mercy in any courtroom, so now I fear them. Can someone help me to make the right decisions?Thank You

It sounds like you were let go and then charged later on. You need on attorney to represent you. It seems like you have been taken advantage of in the past because you didn't have counsel. Please call my office to discuss the matter further. Eric I. Kutinsky, Esq (248) 737-7000
