Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Thank you for taking the time to read this question. I plan on peacefully protesting the Fraser,Mi. Police Dept...but in specific..a Sgt. King. Is it against the law criminally or civilly to display a sign that states for instance " Sgt. King of the Fraser Police Outfit lied on an official report". "SHAME ON YOU".

Lawyers, for the most part, have little interest in sanctioning revenge. As a matter of common sense, (and as a resident of Frazier) you do realize that you cannot benefit by shaming the Sgt. If you're unhappy with him now, you may later find that your planned exercise of free speech could provoke unanticipated consequences.
