Getting a tether
My boyfriend was arrested in oakland county and needs a tether as part of being released, I was told that he has to pay 500- 600 dollars at the time of placement of the tether? Is this true? I thought it was paid through restitution?

Tether companies expect to be paid up front for the installation and first month of service. Typically this costs about $600 as you are finding out. Installation is about $150 and the cost per month is about $450. If you need help with this contact my office at 248.705.3742.

You have to make arrangements with the pretrial services. They will want the money ahead of time and it can be be pretty expensive. Maybe you ought to file a motion to rid the tether/reduce bond. Daniel Hajji 248.865.4700
