Re: Theft Felony

All of those factors can be elements in the crime. Crimes charged can range from "Uttering & Publishing" (felony up to 14 yrs, although it is treated as one of the lowest level felonies for the sentencing guidelines, so county jail is more likely than prison) ... to "No Account Check" (2 year or $500 fine felony), to a series of "Non-Sufficient Funds" charges that could be misdmeanors or felonies depending on the number of checks and amounts, or the frequency of passing the bad checks ("3 in 10 days"). In general, $500 or more is the felony cut-off, or 3 in 10 days.
