If these charges against you can be beat, there will be no fine, no probation, no suspension of your driver's license and no criminal record for the rest of your life.

Re: First time possesion of marijuana

Possession of Marijuana carries maximum penalties of 1 Year and/or $2,000.00, plus driver's license sanctions.

Use of Marijuana carries maximum penalties of 90 Days and/or $100.00, plus driver's license sanctions.

If this is a true "first offense", you might be able to 'work off' the case through a probation status under MCL 333.7411. You'd still face possible fines/costs/etc., but can get a use or possession charge dismissed by the court. It's a discretionary cal by the judge to give you this break, though.

Re: First time possesion of marijuana

Possession of marijuana is a serious misdemeanor that you really need representation for. Fines are the least of your problems and those are different from court to court and circumstance to circumstance.

The very last thing you should worry about is the fine. Get your head together and call a lawyer.
