Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Travel restrictions
My brother was convicted of a felony over 30+ years ago for armed (I believe) robbery. Having grown up into a proud father and husband I want to send he and his wife on an anniversary trip. Is it true his conviction prevents him from travelling out of the country? Even to cross into Canada? (Thank you for your reply.)

Re: Travel restrictions
I am not aware of any such restriction. Furthermore, if he has only one conviction, we may be able to get it removed from his record!
