Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Hi, I wanted to know what will happen if a person is being charged with a CSC 2 due to working for the school system. The student was 17 in a different school. The employee denies contact they did get a warrant for his computer and cell phone but it's been a week since all the property has been taken. What is the normal time frame for investigations of this crime? Is it typical not to hear from the cops or to have even been questioned at this point? It's been over 2 weeks and this person has not been questioned yet!!

He'll be in suspense for a while. Once the hard drive and phone are screened by the forensic people, more warrants can issue and once informed, the police can then decide to conduct an interview. This all takes time
The best advice is that the suspect not talk about this to anyone except a lawyer and have no contact with the 17 year old.
