Im a witness in a statement

I made a statement while i was under the influence of marijuana about my friend getting caught with some marijuana. i was high and made a statement which i do not clearly remember making. I made a statement saying he sold something but i have never actually witnessed him doing so. How do i go about solving this problem? i really do not want recite the statement in court because it is not true.. but im afraid if i dont recite the statement i will be charged with perjury

You need to hire a lawyer to help you with this, as you do not want to incriminate yourself, or commit perjury, or get charged with giving the police false information (whether you intended to or not).
