Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
I wrote a letter to the judge on my husbands behalf and the prosecuting attorney has a copy and showed the witnesses the letter...is this legal

Yes. The prosecutor has a right to know what information the judge is reviewing to make a sentencing decision, which includes the support letters. And the prosecutor has a duty to consult with the victim about sentencing. Here, some information in the letters might prove to be wrong or even an intentional lie, and consultation with the victim might get to the bottom of that.
