Legal Question in DUI Law in Michigan

4th offense drunk driving question

My brother in law just got arrested for 4th offense drunk driving in Michigan-his last one was in 1998. Do you think he will serve more than a year-and is there a possibility he could be on a tether?

Any information you could give us would be helpful-he has a court appointed lawyer.

Thank you

Re: 4th offense drunk driving question

Nobody can predict what the judge will do to your brother in law. Even an attorney that was familiar with his case would need MUCH more information about him that you have provided. In fact his latest charge might result in a not guilty verdict. I recommend that he consult with a tough, aggressive attorney that will try to beat his case. A good choice is Attorney John English. He can be reached at 1 8667665245. He's got a strong track record throughout Michigan with drunk driving cases. Good luck.
