I was arrested for DUI in michigan. The officer pulled me over because he said my license plate light was out, however the light worked just fine and have video tape to prove it 3 hours before the arrest. Do I have a chance to get it thrown out because I also have my CDL to lose

You absolutely have a chance. An officer must have probable cause in order to pull you over. If the reason the officer pulled you over was because your license plate light was out when in fact it was working a motion to suppress is in order. If the judge finds the officer did not have probable cause to effectuate the stop the entire case can be thrown out. If you would like to discuss things further give me a call. 248-469-8501
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! You may have a very valid defense but do not wait to act. It appears you are from Holland based on your zip code and as I handle cases there, I can tell you that most, if not all patrol cars in Ottawa County have no dashcam or any other recording device. It makes it much easier for the police to lie. Hold on to your evidence and keep it safe and get it to an attorney right away.
Most of my cases are drunk driving cases and I dig through everything I can to help my clients defend themselves. The consequences of a conviction can be disastrous, especially if you have a CDL. I recently obtained a Not Guilty verdict from a jury on a drunk driving case because I was able to show the jury that the officers had messed up so much. I currently have a few others pending now that I expect good results from because the officers either had no legal grounds to stop my client or they conducted the breath tests improperly. Every case is different.
Make sure you speak to an attorney soon and DO NOT TALK TO THE POLICE OR THE PROSECUTOR without an attorney as anything you say can be used against you. Good Luck!
