Is there a change in the MIP law?
I just recieved an MIP in Midland, MI.
I have no previous record except for
a speeding ticket. I am also in college
and have very respectable grades.
However, I just heard that first
offense MIP's can no longer be
expunged from your record. Is this
true and is there any way that it can
be taken off? Also, I am an Ohio
resident going to school in Michigan.

It would not be a good idea to have a misdemeanor on your criminal record. I recommend that you hire an experienced criminal defense attorney to try to prevent that. A criminal record can hamper you for many years.
