Legal Question in DUI Law in Michigan

Driver Resposibility Law

In 1996 I was convicted in MI for DWI 3rd, and in 97 I was sent to prison on an un-related charge. I am once again a free man and when I visited the secertary of state to obtain a licience I was told that I would have to submit an appeal, is this correct? My other two convictions were in 87. Am I also subject to the new driver responsibility fees that were inacted in 2003? Help Ray

Re: Driver Resposibility Law

A third drunk driving revokes your license for at least one year, but you have to appeal to DAAD to attempt to get it back. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to discuss. Tim Klisz

Re: Driver Resposibility Law

Your license is revoked and you will need to file for a driver license appeal board hearing. It is a very difficult process and you must prove by clear and convincing evidence that you will not drink and drive again. If you need help with this, contact my office at www.schmierlaw.com.
