i got pulled over in december and they never told me i had a court date and i just got the paper today and it says the court date was yesterday

Don't discard the envelope containing the notice.
You'll want to show it to the magistrate when you turn yourself in on the bench warrant. which was issued when you didn't show up.
Before you do that, call the court clerk and find out how much your bond is. Be prepared to pay that amount when you surrender. Do this soon so the SoS doesn't revoke your license.
If you continue to drive while the warrant exists, you risk arrest, jail, and a much higher bond to get out.
If all this makes you uncomfortable, you might want a lawyer.
