Husband's 10 year problem
My husband lost his license 10 years ago, because of a 2nd DUI offense. He tried once to get it back a year after the offense and failed. He is now looking for a better way to get his license back. Without having to pay an attorney's fee of $3500.

Going in front of the appeals board is very difficult. You start off with the examiner already having decided to not give you back your license. Its your job to convince him with "clear and convincing" evidence to change his mind. And if you fail, you have to wait another year. Although, you do not want to hire an attorney, as an attorney who is experienced with these hearings, there are several things you can do to present your best case. I am more affordable than $3500 and if you want help with this contact my office at 248.705.3742

I am also very experienced with these hearings and agree $3500 is alot of money to pay. I charge substantially less to to these with great results. Please visit www.kliszlaw.com to get started. Tim Klisz

Call Van Buren County's bar association and ask for a referral to an attorney who handles license restoration.
$3500 is a totally absurd amount to charge for a restoration. I seldom charge more than $500. It puzzles me why your husband waited 9 years for another attempt.
See if you can find the written decision he received at his first DLAD hearing so that you can show it to a more reasonable and less greedy attorney.
I'd help, but I'm on the other side of the state.
