Michigan Repeat Offender Law
I was charged for a OUIL in 1999 pled guilty I had a minor in possession on my record while not driving in 1999. Recently I recieved a OWI this past Jan. and pled guilty and now secretary of state is saying I am a repeat offender 3 alcohol offenses within 10 yrs. But I have 2 driving alcohol offenses in a little over 7 yrs. and a past MIP while not in or near a vehicle. Doesn't the repeat offender law pertain to alcohol driving offenses? Can they use a MIP even though it had nothing to do with a vehicle?
