After a 7/05 arrest for drunk driving - the court has not yet received paperwork for the offense. There has been no conviction in this case. There was property damage which was paid in full by the arrested person (to arresting police department). That the laws require courts to decide drunken driving cases within 77 days after an arrest - is this a charge that has been dropped? Thank you for any input you can provide.

Re: Owi
No: the 77 day rule is an administrative rule it does not lead to the dismissal of cases. You should contact the jurisdiction of the arrest and make sure there is not a warrant for your arrest. Hire a lawyer.
