Legal Question in DUI Law in Michigan

restoring my drivers License

I have been trying to get my license restored since 1994 my last dui was in 1992 I have done everything the state required,I have spent Thousands of dollars. This last time the state denyed me because I said there was an a.a meeting two miles away and didn't go...I have been to many many meetings over the years I don't feel I need them any longer because I don't drink anymore.Or do I particapate in the bar scene.I hired a lawyer and payed him in full and he is still postponing and not keeping me up on any details because he doesn't care,Well I can't wait anymore...I can't afford to have any more evaluations there a Joke...They just take my money and do no good.

And the secratary of State always has some lame excuse why they deny me...I need a license now to get back and forth to work I feel I am being discrimated against..

What do I need to do?

Re: restoring my drivers License

How many times have you been caught DWLS in the last 15 years? Each time doubles your revocation.

You finally got a lawyer after trying it (and failing) to get your license. You clearly don't like to be told what to do, but you're well advised to do exactly what your lawyer says.

If you get caught driving again without a license, after you get out of jail, your license revocation will be doubled again and you may never get it back if you continue your current behavior.
