In the state of Michigan, is it legal for a person aged 18-20 to drive a car with closed liquor in the car if none of it has been consumed by the driver.

You could still be charged with MIP because you are under age and in possession of alcohol. It makes no difference whether it is open or not. If it's open, you could also be charged with open intox.
