Statutes Relating to DUI, OWI in WI
Currently, there are at least 100 different statutes which make up the extremely complicated body of law in WI relating to drunken driving. The most important is probably section 346.63 which is about 12 pages long. These statutes are modified by the legislature nearly every week, so any printed version is apt to be out of date. Online research is therefore required order to have any certainty as to the state of the current law. There are also thousands of pages of case law which often modifies the statutes. I no longer have copies of the versions from 1974 and 1978, but the State Law Library could probably assist you with those.
