Suspended/Revoked License
While driving a moped, on the advice of a doctor (documented) I borrowed a friends moped to go accross campus.
I was promptly pulled over and issued a ticket for DWLS/REVOKED.
With the help of a local attorney, he had it reduced to ''Failure to Display License'' and said ''Don't worry about it, 200.00 $ fine, end of story. 2 weeks later, my revocation was extended for 5 more years. After repeated attempts to contact the attorney, with this info. I haven't heard a word.
HELP!
From my own investigating, FTDL is a non-moving violation, and I think my attorney thought this was a piece of cake, now I'm revoked for 5 more freakin' years!!
The letter from the SOS is going off the ticket for DWLS and the actual plea was FTDL.
I have been sober and have completed a normally 5 year degree in just 4 years. Can Someone please shine a ray of hope on this? This is just not right!!
Yes, I had been convicted in MI for two and picked up a 3rd in WI. in just a couple of years, it was an incredibly bad stretch, learned my lesson, Did Rehab, you name it. I was due for eligibility in Nov. 2008.
