Legal Question in DUI Law in Michigan

Warrant

I live in washington state and am trying to get my license. 5 years ago, In michigan I aquired owi , resisting arrest (non-violent) and operating a motor vehicle w/o a license charges. I am just trying to understand my options. I have called michigan and they said I have to ''request a plea by mail'' which the clerk told me was tantamount to pleading guilty to all charges which I would rather not do considering I was not read my miranda rights. So my question is: what are my options?

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this and for any advice you can give.

Re: Warrant

It really depends on where the case is, what court. I encourage clients to hire a local counsel that regularly works in that court. You get the best results from that. If your matter is in Southeast Michigan, contact me for a free phone consultation. Regards, Tim Klisz
