Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
6 month old baby/ custody question? please Help me.
My child is 6 months old. Is it likely that the judge will order a 50/50 split? My ex-husb wants joint physical custody. The reason.... is my ex does Not want to pay the high amt of chd support. so he figures if he has joint, then he will pay less child support. He has saw his child a total of 10 times approx on his own free will. I never say no. I leave the doors open at all times. I live in Michigan. For a child of this age, will the judge take who gets custody and/or how its arranged into factor based on childs age???? Please help.

There are several factors that the courts look at when determining who should have custody and how much visitation should be awarded. Therefore, it is difficult to answer your question here. I would strongly suggest that you retain a lawyer to protect your interests.
