Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

I am 4 1/2 months pregnant. The father of the baby said he wants nothing to do with the child. I would like to join the military. I will have to guardianship for a year. My mother is willing to take the baby until I get out. Would I have trouble with giving her guardianship?

Not if the father does not contest it. You had better file for custody first though, better get it on record that he "abandoned" or lost custody to his child it would make it much harder to challenge the guardianship later. Contact us for a free consultation 877 887 9562
