Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

I am 33 weeks pregnant and moved out of my ex boyfriend's house. My ex has since threatened that if I don't move back, he will be forced to seek legal council and will fight custody of our child. He is bipolar (I'm not sure if he's still on his meds), smokes marijuana, and has a history of violence. He also lately said that everyone needs to respect him as a man and as the father of this child, and if anyone tries to not let him see his child, he will take his child and run away. I'm trying to not let that happen, but I don't know what to do.
