Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
my 18 year old daughter had a baby (nine months old now) the father has not been involved and his Mother says a "paternity tests" says that he is not the father. My daughter insist that he is the father. I would like to know how to protect my daughter's righhts as the custodial and only parent and also to make sure that the father (once verified) contributes to the care of his child.

Your daughter should meet with an experienced family law attorney to file a paternity action in the family division of the circuit court where she and the baby live.
