Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

My now 17 year old grandson has not lived with his only parent for 1 year. I am his only grandparent. I moved to MI. for him. His parent refuses to sign any legal forms for him to have medical care to driving lessons. May I sign?

Only his parent can sign unless you have a court order for guardianship.
