Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
My 5 yr old daughter is in foster care in the State of Michigan, after being removed from her mother's home. I live in the State of North Carolina and have went through the ICPC to try and get my daughter placed in my home with my wife and our other children. The ICPC home study has been approved, and placement has been recommended by social services in the county I reside in. The next court date in Michigan is still almost a month away. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process so my daughter can finally come live with me and begin to have a stable life. She's been through so much and I'm more than ready to bring her home with me. It's frustrating that she's still in foster care when social services has already approved my home and has recommended my wife and I for placement. We feel like we're just sitting here waiting for the paperwork to reach Michigan and for the court date. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Who set the court date? Normally, you just need 7 days notice on a motion.
