Adoption

i have a fiance soon to be husband and he was lookin in to adopting my lil 10 month old gurl and i heard that you have to wait 2yrs after we area married that he can adopt her and we really don't want to wait that long for that to happen we would like it to happen asap

There is not a 2-year waiting period in Michigan. however, you would either need the natural parent's permission to effectuate the adoption, or go through certain procedures as required by Michigan law, such as giving him notice of the pending/proposed adoption, and then if he doesn't respond, you can proceed with the adoption.
