Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

If someone has had an affair and was being led astray the entire time do they have any legal rights. If that person were being told that the married person was going to get a divorce, was living in another town and that you were the only person they had ever loved does the other person's spouse have any legal action they can file against you in Michigan. If the married person has just been stringing you along can they file a restraining order in an effort to try and make it appear as if you are unstable? What would your rights be in that case when the only mistake that you made was believing this jerk?

These are very tricky issues and not easily explained in a message. In short, a lawsuit based on an affair is not allowed under current Michigan law. The restraining order is a different animal and can be legitimate in certain cases. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to discuss. Tim Klisz
