age of adulthood

when my son turns 18 do I still have to support him and can I kick him out of my house?

Greetings; Yes, upon the child attaining the age of majority (18) you are no longer under a duty to support and you may take legal action to evict him from the house. You may also want to give up hope on that parent of the year award. Atty. Trichler.

Wow...

Hostility towards one's own child is a very good reason to let him go and hopefully find people who will like him after he's 18.

Some kids need kicking out of the nest, so if that's what you want to do, you can encourage him to leave with legal action, although I suspect, from the tone of your question, that he will be eager to leave.

Unless he has issues, and you are ordered to pay child support by the court (although from the sound of it, you're not talking about child support), no you don't have to support him and are not responsible for what he does as an adult.
