Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Can Annulment Be An Option?

My husband and I got married when I took leave from military training. We had talked about getting married during Basic Training because I thought thats what I wanted and when I entered Technical Training I told him I didnt want to and wanted to wait. He said if we didnt do it now then we never would and he said it was now or never and we wouldnt be friends if I wouldnt so I did. After I did I regreted it and wished I never did. Months went by and being at my 1st base I was lonely and felt I needed him with me. He came out and we now have a house, we argue all the time and I feel like we shouldnt have tried it. I didnt know if I would just have to go through a divorce or if an annulment was an option. We try working it out but I feel like it will end sooner or later. What are my options?

Re: Can Annulment Be An Option?

In what county do you reside? When were you married? Do you have children?

These are just a few of the important questions that must be answered in order to properly advise you.

Divorce and not an annulment is likely the way to end your marriage. There is no reason that you have offered to suggest that you qualify for an annulment.

Call me if you have more questions.
