Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

audio recordings

during a divorce my friend tape recorded all telephone conversations and custody exchanges that occured with his soon to be ex. The exchanges were made inside a sherriff department and the phone calls were always made to him from his ex's family home(parents) were the conversations could be heard. Can he use these in court to show that she has been lying in court and on motions that she has filed against him?
