Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
Bias in the Friend of the Court
My former wife abandoned our marriage and our children for the sake of an affair. I am a father that has had custody of two minor children yet had it taken away and given to my former wife without an evidentiuary hearing as required by Michigan law. I had re-married and established a custodial environment for over 1 1/2 years, yet she was given custody even though she had a live-in boyfriend that was married and had minor children of his own.
This case is well documented with transcripts that show bias, contempt, and outright fraud that was perpetrated by Friend of the Court personnel, the preciding judge, mediator, the mother and her attorney? The judge used intimidation and threats against me if I continued to fight for my rights.
The statutes for determining child custody as found in the Michigan Child Custody Act was not followed or used as a basis for determining custody. As the mediator himself said and I quote; ''Those in black robes feel that the calf follows the cow.''
If not a particular attorney that takes on causes, would you please recommend an organization as a source of help for a tired, beat-up, and financially ruined father of four?

What county was your case in? Who was the judge? Did your wife contend that she left because you forced her out? What allegations did she make? Who was the lawyer on the other side? Who as your lawyer? Bill Stern

Greetings; I believe your question is: Q: Are there organizations or men's groups for divorced fathers? Answer, yes! Go to Yahoo.com or another good search engine on the web and you should be able to find them. I have run accross many over the years. Your complaints are not uncommon in my office. Good luck..Atty.
