blood test for fatherhood

i got pregnant at the age of 16 and was rape twice in four day apart of each other the man is much older and he pay child support and just started visitations with child i really would went him to take a blood test the court never order him to if the test is negative for him to father my child can i have his name remove from birth certificate and have the order drop for visitations?

Yes, you can make a request for a paternity test, if you can meet certain criteria. The test is usually paid for by you. If the test shows that he is not the father, then you can ask that he not have contact with the child. The court will then need to determine whether it is in the best interests of the child for this guy to be in its life. For instance, there are some cases, where the test shows that the person is not the father, but because he has had a longterm relationship with the child, they are still deemed to be the father of the child.
