Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
change custody and stop child support
help boyfriends 13 year old son is now living with us(amost 2 months) his mother was in agreement with this move. Now mother is playing games and stateing maybe she made a mistake by letting him come live with dad. Dad is still paying child support, was trying to be nice guy by letting it go until first of year. Mother is very demanding of sons time. Every week-end she wants him, so far we have let him go. We do not want to rock the boat, but enough is enough. By law I think she could just make us bring him back since there is nothing legal in him living with us. What can we do to make this change legal, and stop her from the mind games

I hate to make a radical suggestion, but how about seeing a family law lawyer? You should make a motion to modify either custody, visitation or both. William Stern

You can certainly hire an experienced attorney who will file a motion to change custody.
