Name Change

I have 6 year old son and have recently remarried. Could you tell me if I can leagelly add my new last name to his?

How do I go about it if I can. His natural father has given up all parental rights. Thank you for your help

You will have to file a petition with the court and the court will require that you send notice to the child's father.

It is usually not a problem and rarely objected to.
