Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Child Custody

My fiance has a nephew who is as of right now living with his sister (my finace's sister). The childs mom, whom he was living with, threw him out of the house and wants nothing to do with him. The childs father (my finaces brother) is in and out of the hospital for a disease he has, which makes him not capable of taking care of his sun. My finaces sister cannot afford to take care of him as she has house payment and 3 children to take care of. Is it possible for my finace (the childs uncle) who is 21 to take custody of the child? My finace is in the army and live in Louisana as of right now and would be taking the child down there to live.

Re: Child Custody

The easiest thing would be for the mother to give permission for the move and then, when the child is down south, to go to the probate court down there for guardianship. William S. Stern
