Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

child in school-do I still have to pay daycare exspenses?

I have been paying child support for 5 years. My son just started 1st grade and my ex hasn't been using the daycare for 2 months already. FYI my ex is currently not working, she was in an accident and claims to have a closed head injury. She is pregnant and will not be going back to work for at least 8 months. I currently pay $160/wk for child support (including $60 for daycare). How do I get this removed? What papers do I need to fill out? Any helpful direction would be appreciated. I am up to date on my payments-no arrearages

You have to file a motion to reduce support based upon the material change in circumstances. It is always easier and perhaps more effective to utilize a family law lawyer. Bill Stern 248-353-9400
