Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan
child support arrearages
plantiff gross annual 39,412,defendents gross annual 24,926 not including 400 a mo. cs income for a child living in his home and a home depreciation which the second half (7,615) was not added to his gross annual. defendent was missing from my childs life for 13 yrs. his child support arrearage is over 113,500.00 support order 302.00 plus 98.00 for arrearages defendent just relocated back to michigan the first of the year, and runs a in home daycare, he has been in this busness for 19 yrs. by the way our son is 13yrs. old. no contact and avoidance is reason for large arrearage. i think 98.00 is unacceptable as far as a payment plan goes towards arreages, am i right and how long, by law can i collect on these arrearages. i think he should be paying at least 300.00 towards arrearages alone.
