Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Child Support and Custody Laws

If I have a baby with man that I am not married to can I make him pay child support if he is on the birth certificate? What if he is not on the birth certificate?

Child support is handled through the court system. Either way you will need to start a court case. If he is not on the birth certificate, it will be a paternity case. If he is, then it will be a support or custody case.
